The 2nd Annual Sweet Doubles and Singles Table Tennis Tournament was a blast! We had 15 talented athletes competing. Next year I would love some suggestions on how to improve the tournament, as it is new to me. Do you create a plaque? Chip in for prizes? Give me some ideas to make this even more fun. And the 2024 Winner is... To start the day, names were drawn from the hat and Martin Sweet/Nathan Wahl squared up against Manas Kshirsagar and Imran Safiulla in the Semi-Finals, both being undefeated up to that point. Sweet/Wahl won the match. In the loser bracket, Joerg Heilig and Matt Rice lost their first match and proceeded to climb back into the finals where they matched up against Sweet/Wahl and lost in a valiant effort. In the singles, Joerg Heilig and Martin Sweet faced each other again in the finals and this time Heilig got the best of Sweet in 3 straight games with some epic rallies.
